File-Form

FORMATTED

Version

4.x / March 2011

Description-Date

Significance of the File

contains general input data for the program XTRLQ2

File-Contents (in Catchwords)

Input Steering Data

  • general steering data (block Program_Parameters)
  • Key "Dry_Limit" : minimum water depth to distinguish between wet and dry areas.
  • input files (block Input_Files).
  • Key "Domain_Data_File" : name of file with original data for the overall domain (filetypes dirz.bin.r, dirz.bin.i and dirz.bin).
  • Key "Profile_Topography" : name of file with profile topography with different longitudinal as well as cross sectional profiles (filetype profil05.bin).
  • (optional) Key "RWF_Domain_Data_File" : name of file with reference surface for the overall domain (filetypes dirz.bin.r, dirz.bin.i and dirz.bin).
Notice: This file must be prescribed if the file "Domain_Data_File" does not contain the required variable reference surface.
  • (optional) Key "RWF_Profile_Data_File" : name of file with reference surface along profiles (filetypes dirz.bin.r, dirz.bin.i and dirz.bin).
Notice: This file must be prescribed if the file "Domain_Data_File" does not contain the required variable reference surface. This file must be generated beforehand using program XTRLQ2.
  • (optional) Key "TDP_Domain_Data_File" : name of file with time dependent bathymetry for the overall domain (filetypes dirz.bin.r, dirz.bin.i and dirz.bin).
Notice: This file must be prescribed if the file "Domain_Data_File" does not contain the required variable time dependent bathymetry.
  • (optional) Key "TDP_Profile_Data_File" : name of file with time dependent bathymetry along profiles (filetypes dirz.bin.r, dirz.bin.i and dirz.bin).
Notice: This file must be prescribed if the file "Domain_Data_File" does not contain the required variable time dependent bathymetry. This file must be generated beforehand using program XTRLQ2.
  • result files (block Output_Files).

General Remarks

  1. While reading this input steering data file the dictionary-file Xtrlq2_dico.dat will be accessed in directory $PROGHOME/dic/ automatically to support input.
  2. The gridfile related to file "Domain_Data_File" must be availble within the working directory too. Different file formats are supported (filetypes gitter05.dat/bin or untrim_grid.dat (BAW)).
Notices: name as well as type of the gridfile are automatically determined by the program using metadata stored in file "Domain_Data_File".
  3. The user shall process the file containing the reference surface first. Subsequently the file containing time dependent bathymetry should be processed (if required and if the quantity is not contained within the first file processed). Finally all further files can be processed.
