Short Description of Functionality
Program WESPE calculates in interactive mode
- different spectral moments,
- integrated wave parameters and
- JONSWAP or TMA wave spectra
in dependence on wind velocity, fetch length and water depth.
Input-Files
- Notice: no input files required because of interactive data input.
Output-Files
- (optional) one-dimensional spectra (TMA and JONSWAP), boundary values and parameters (filetype spek.out)
- (optional) one-dimensional TMA-spectrum (filetype tma)
Methodology
The calculations of JONSWAP- or TMA-spectra are based on the laws for fetch limited growth of waves. TMA-spectrum may be also displayed using gnuplot software.
