Short Description of Functionality
A program to convert results of numerical models from BDF format or TRIM2D format to a format usable by ship handling simulators.
Input-Files
- general input data (file type tr2issuskonvert.dat)
- BDF data with 2D depth averaged current velocities and water level (files of type dirz.bin.r, dirz.bin.i and dirz.bin)
- (opt) 2D mesh file which is joined to the BDF data(file type gitter05.dat/bin)
- (opt) profiles mesh which is joined to the BDF data (file type profil05.bin)
- (opt) UnTRIM mesh which is joined to the BDF data (file type untrim_grid.dat)
- (opt) zu den BDF-Daten gehöriges selafin-Gitternetz (file type selafin)
- alternativly to BDF files TRIM2D result files (file type tr2.result) can be processed.
- The mesh files have to be present with progam start.
- The BDF files must be provided in time series mode.
Output-Files
- ASCII file format for use in ship handling simulators with 2D depth averaged velocities
- liste of positions in output (ASCII table)
- Druckerdatei mit Informationen zum Programmablauf (file type tr2issuskonvert.sdr)
- (opt) Datei mit Testausgaben (file type tr2issuskonvert.trc)
Methodology
Each time serie position inside a BDF file will be processed. The data will be put out for the predefined frame and minimal bathymetric depth. The coordinates will be put out in either original coordinates of the topographic mesh or in geographic coordinates (WGS84).
