Significance of the File
contains informations about types and values of boundary conditions for various numerical models
File-Contents (in Catchwords)
- number of different time-series for boundary nodes
- time interval
- type of boundary condition
- specific flowrate in x-direction
- specific flowrate in y-direction
- water elevation
- salinity
- water elevation (for interior nodes, TRIM-2D/TRIM-3D)
- temperature
- heat content
- suspended sediment concentration
- suspended load
- height of a weir (U-node, TRIM-2D)
- height of a weir (V-node, TRIM-2D)
- velocity in x-direction
- velocity in y-direction
- different generation processes for the time-series
- sum of multiple cosine-functions
- linear interpolation between data points
- cubic spline-interpolation between data points
- scaling factors for the generated time-series. Important when implementing time series of the fresh water discharge, because in this case the factor is the reciprocal of the overall width of all edges of the fresh water discharge inflow (or outflow). Example: The discharge of the river Ems will flow over two grid edges into the model domain and each grid edge has a length of 15 m. The overall width ist 30 m and the factor given in the file has to be 1/30 /m.
- time-series information and/or input data
