contains data for a single location or profile to be later used in the spread sheet program EXCEL

  1. informations about the study area
  2. informations about the 2D-location of the data
  3. informations about the 3D-location of the data
  4. coordinates (x,y) of the location
  5. informations about the data set
  6. informations about the origin of the data
  7. number and type-codes for the physical quantities stored in the file
  8. date, time and data for each time-step stored
  9. signature of the responsible project engineer 

If profile data for a specific profile are stored:

  1. informations about the study area
  2. informations about the profile
  3. informations about the (vertical) location of the profile
  4. date and time or period of data analysis
  5. informations about the data set
  6. informations about the origin of the data
  7. number and type-codes for the physical quantities stored in the file
  8. profile-km, Gauß-Krüger coordinates, bathymetric depth and data are stored for each location along the profile
  9. short and long name of selected locations along the profile
