Explanations

Relative frequency [0.0,1.0] for which the salinity exceeds a given salinity limit within the period of data analysis.

  • left top: result for threshold 3.75 E-3 (approx. 3.75 PSU).
  • right top: result for threshold 11.25 E-3 (approx. 11.25 PSU).
  • left bottom: result threshold 18.75 E-3 (approx. 18.75 PSU).
  • right bottom: result for threshold 26.25 (approx. 26.25 PSU).

Please notice that frequency cannot reach a value of 1.0 in temporarily dry areas (e.g. tidal flats).

Examples

salinity > 3.75 x 10-3 salinity > 11.25 x 10-3
frequency with which the salinity exceeds the salinity limit of 3.75 E-3
frequency with which the salinity exceeds the salinity limit of 11.25 E-3
salinity > 18.75 x 10-3 salinity > 26.25 x 10-3
frequency with which the salinity exceeds the salinity limit of 18.75 E-3
frequency with which the salinity exceeds the salinity limit of 26.25 E-3
