Important when implementing time series of the fresh water discharge, because in this case the factor is the reciprocal of the overall width of all edges of the fresh water discharge inflow (or outflow). Example: The discharge of the river Ems will flow over two grid edges into the model domain and each grid edge has a length of 15 m. The overall width ist 30 m and the factor given in the file has to be 1/30 /m.
