Short Description of Functionality

DAVIT is an interactive tool for visualisation and exploration of results of hydronumerical models. It has been developed by Smile Consult GmbH, Hannover (Germany). The software development is not finished yet, so updates are installed frequently.
A sophisticated GUI enables intuitive use of Davit, see picture. Davit gui.png

Methodology

Remarks:

There is a user guide for DAVIT!
There are hints to use the tools of DAVIT , in German
There is no UNDO functionality, so be careful and save your work frequently!

Starting DAVIT:

  1. You have to define the PROGHOME variable on your machine.
  2. You have to extend your PATH variable with the PATH of the executable script
  3. You have to start a command line environment (DOS input box / xterm)
  4. You have to type in DAVIT [xxx]. The optional xxx is the size of memory in megabytes reserved for the Java Runtime Environment.
