Definition
Structure for locking up lines of a navigation channel to prevent damage at the expiry of an entire channel and mitigate the flooding of the surrounding terrain. Both types of doors can also serve the draining of a channel route used in case of breakdowns, damage or inspections. A channel emergency closure formed by beams on structurally prepared shore locations serves the same purpose.
