Definition
Lateral part of the riverbed; lateral part of the riverbed from the foot of the bank (intersection with the river bed) to the top of the embankment or quay wall or to the top edge of the river dam or canal side dam. While hydrologically and pursuant to § 8; the entire river bed (up to the shore top) is part of the waters, with inland waterways only the part below the shoreline count as part of the waters in the legal sense and are called river bed(according to st ate water law).
