Definition
Ship generated, long-period wave system with backwater at the bow, drawdown and primary shaft. Wavelength directly dependent on the length of the ship, period depending on vessel length and vessel speed. Wave propagation speed equal to the speed of the vessel. Decrease and slight phase shift towards the shore in broad inhomogeneous waterways.
