Example figures: residual ebb current velocity

From BAWiki

Revision as of 14:42, 28 March 2017 by imported>Lang Guenther (remark on "mean value" computation removed)

Explanations

  • left top: value of characteristic number for a single event.
  • left bottom: mean value of the characteristic number within the period of data analysis.
  • right top: maximum value of the characteristic number within the period of data analysis.
  • right bottom: minimum value of the characteristic number within the period of data analysis.

Examples

residual ebb current velocity residual ebb current velocity (maximum)
residual ebb current velocity of one specific tide
maximum value of residual ebb current velocity within the period of data analysis
residual ebb current velocity (mean) residual ebb current velocity (minimum)
mean value of residual ebb current velocity within the period of data analysis
minimum value of residual ebb current velocity within the period of data analysis

Remark: Vector is the result from vector addition of all ebb current velocities. Residual ebb current velocity is always less or equal than mean ebb current velocity.
