From BAWiki
Definition
The kinetic energy is the energy that an object contains due to its motion. It corresponds to the force that must be expended to move the object from rest into an instantaneous movement.
Speed height - is the height measure h, around which a body must fall freely so that it reaches the speed v by the acceleration of the gravity g. Thus the relation h = v2: 2g exists (see severity); H is also the same as the height or the pressure. The kinetic energy is the energy that an object contains due to its motion.
