Special vessel with electronic devices for depth measurements on waterways. Sounding ship with <15 m3 displacement = sounding ship. Sounding yawls are daughter boats of sounding vessels. The vessels of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) for survey work in coastal waters and on the sea are called survey vessels.
