A data set consists of physical data from a 2D- or 3D-space or a profile which is either a synoptic data set (at all nodes of the data-space the result is valid for the same date), a synthetic data set (e.g. maximum value at ech node for a specific period of time) or a time-series data set (for each node of the data-space the respective data are stored as a time-serie)
