Für die Abbildung auf ein finites Elemente Gitter ([[GITTER05.DAT und GITTER05.BIN|gitter05.dat/bin]]) wird aus jeder Zellenmitte des Rechteckgitters ein Knoten für das symmetrische Dreiecksgitter erzeugt.<br /> Die meteorologischen Daten lassen sich mit vorhandenen Visualisierungsprogrammen ([[HVIEW2D]]) darstellen. Damit ist nun z.B. der Zusammenhang zwischen dem lokalen Windfeld und dem Wasserstand bei Sturmflutereignissen auch optisch zu erkennen.<br /> Die Zuordnung von meteorologischen Ein- und Ausgabegrößen erfolgt über eine Konfigurationsdatei. Hier kann auch ein Skalierungsfaktor für die jeweiligen Eingabegrößen definiert werden.
