Definition
Fixed founded pole or lattice mast-like navigation buoys with identification by shape or form and color, as a possibly striking contrast against the background. This includes the "Bleesbaken" (pollard willows) on groyne heads in the Rhine. At channels radar reflectors can be used as beacons (beacon in radar reflector design).
