Definition
Area either side of the coastline. Seaward of coastline belonging to the coast the foreshore or the dry beach, the coastal waters with wet beach, foreshore and Watt, the islands, Halligen and Außensände. Landward of the shoreline is determined the border of the coastal area unspecified. The tidal areas landward of the coastline belongs to the coastal area.
