Significance of the File

Definition of standard colors, referenced to by names. A file of type colors.dat is in the directory $PROGHOME/cfg/ and will be used automatically. So all colors defined in this file can be used by all users. Further on a user can create and use a second file of this type, placed in the working directory. So the user can define her/his own colors.

1. Definitionen von Standard-Farben
   Die Farbnamen in der unter $PROGHOME/cfg/ installierten Datei entsprechen den Netscape-3-Farben mit Ausnahme der Farben Green und DeepGreen. Green entspricht nach Netscape-Konvention Lime und DeepGreen entspricht Green. GKSForeground ist ein eigens erfundener Name und entspricht der GKS Vordergrundfarbe, die sich von reinem Weiß geringfügig unterscheidet.
   Alle Standardfarben, nach Farbtönen sortiert:
   
   • Colour table: standard tones
     
     
   • Colour table: gray tones
     
     
   • Colour table: red tones
     
     
   • Colour table: yellow tones
     
     
   • Colour table: green tones
     
     
   • Colour table: green-blue tones
     
     
   • Colour table: blue tones
     
     
   • Colour table: pink and magenta tones
     
     
   • Colour table: fawn and brown tones
