Example: Vortex Streets behind a planned Storm Surge Barrier in the Unterems
From BAWiki
The animation demonstrates the variation of flow velocity behind a planned storm surge barrier in the Unterems near the village of Gandersum. The vortex streets come into existence due to the presence of the piers of the barrier. Eddies are transported upstream by the flood current. The animation shows 15 minutes of realtime with a time-step of 10 seconds. The data shown have been generated using a high resolution two-dimensional numerical model (grid cell width : 2.5m / numerical model : TRIM-2D).
The animation is available in the Autodesk FLC file format. The resolution is 800 x 600 pixel points.
